NTP not syncing et ESXi 7.0U3
Depuis la version 7.0U3 il n’est plus possible d’apporter des modifications directement au fichier /etc/ntp.conf.
Cela était souvent nécessaire pour l’ajout de l’option « tos maxdist 30 » qui résout les problèmes de synchronisation, notamment avec des sources de temps Windows.
Désormais, il faut créer un nouveau fichier intermédiaire, y rentrer la configuration souhaitée et le charger avec esxcli :
[root@localhost:~] vi /scratch/ntpconfig.txt
[root@localhost:~] cat /scratch/ntpconfig.txt
server ntpserver.yourdomain.com
tos maxdist 30
[root@localhost:~] esxcli system ntp set -f /scratch/ntpconfig.txt
[root@localhost:~] esxcli system ntp set -e 1
